- My first eBike conversion!
- 2009 Carrera Fury (I bought for my 40th Birthday)
- Re-born with a mid-drive eBike conversion (Bafang BBS01b) in July 2025

- powered with a 36V 17.5 Ah (630Wh) downtube Hailong battery (panasonic cells)
- conversion kit was attached to ((50e1b924-1f96-459d-9eff-759f5f8aed28)) and bought on Ebay for £360 (bike+kit)
- needed bike shop to help remove and attach the motor to the Fury (those lock nuts are tight!)
- Pros
- The 80nM torque power for them hills!
- Physical gears in case battery juice runs out
- Felt creative building it - like one does if they have ever built / assembled a PC... or Lego
- Not reliant on a manufacturer for support (they do go bust)
- Price!
- Cons
- Cadence is not as natural as Torque
- Slid down a boundary in the park - greater risk with cadence bikes?
- Cannot call on a manufacturer for support / service issues with the motor
- Probably replace it if it ever broke
- Replace in future with…?
- Tenways AGO X mid drive Torque based See here
